The Kirkwood Midnight Memory Walk 2022 took place on 2nd July when the Kirklees community came together to lace up for someone special and walk in memory of their loved ones. A sea of orange took to the streets of Huddersfield, including two of our staff members, Gemma & Zoey, who were up for the challenge! The circular walking route started from The University of Huddersfield and passed The Kirkwood Hospice around halfway.

We were pleased with the outcome of the medals we produced for this event, and it was great to see everyone who took part proudly wear them once they had reached the finish line! The medals were printed, stainless steel base material, with a single print ribbon and Made By Cooper backstamp on the reverse. They are a great keepsake of any achievement and something to be proud of! This event raised a fantastic £58,000 to help Support Life across Kirklees. This money helps anyone affected by any life-limiting illness and cares for patients and families in their own homes, care homes, towns and villages across Kirklees, and at the hospice in Dalton.

The atmosphere was brilliant, and it was inspiring to see so many smiling faces, which was touching, knowing that everyone there remembered someone special to them. Kirkwood's work is invaluable to our community, and we look forward to helping them create medals again for future events.
